Meetings; chairmanship; conduct of meetings; voting
Section: 28-34
(a)
Meetings: The committee shall meet at least once a month at a regularly scheduled time. Additional meetings may be called by the chairperson or upon a request by the official. All meetings of the committee shall be noticed and open to the public in accordance with Florida law.
(b)
Chair: The administrator of neighborhood services or designee shall chair the meetings and shall have the right to vote.
(c)
Quorum and voting: A simple majority of those present shall be necessary to conduct routine business and approve or deny an application for co-sponsorship.
(d)
Rules of procedure: The committee shall adopt and make public rules of procedure for the conduct of its business, provided such rules are consistent with the provisions hereof.
(e)
Minutes: The committee shall prepare and keep on file minutes and a record of its meetings, including the vote of each member on every question, and all documents submitted to it in every case with the special events office. The committee shall cause a tape recording to be made of all proceedings, which, together with all the materials related to each certain petition presented to the committee, shall constitute the official record of the proceeding.
