Authorization and powers of the official and city council—Temporary, complete or partial street and park closures

(a)

The official is authorized and empowered to issue a special event permit for the temporary partial closure or enclosure of a city park.

(b)

Pursuant to city council approval as provided herein, the official is authorized and empowered to issue a special event permit for the temporary complete or partial closure of roads, alleys, sidewalks or any other public ways used for vehicular or pedestrian traffic, parking or other public use or city parks (unless otherwise provided) in a manner consistent with regulations and conditions set forth in this chapter.
