Fee authority and types
Section: 8-7
(a)
Fees are the responsibility of the lot owner, family member or executor of their estate. The city council has the authority to set fees by resolution. Such fees may include, but shall not be limited to:
(1)
Cemetery spaces;
(2)
The internment or inurnment of human remains;
(3)
The disinterment of human remains;
(4)
Staking of gravesites;
(5)
Excess dirt which is not removed by a vault company under this chapter;
(6)
Recording of burial certificates;
(7)
The construction of mausoleums or other above ground structures to be used for the internment of inurnment of human remains;
(8)
Grave transfers; and
(9)
Headstones and/or monument.
(b)
Pursuant to F.S. § 497, the fees collected pursuant to section 8-7(a) for perpetual care shall be deposited in a separately designated care and maintenance trust fund. The net income of the care and maintenance trust fund shall be used solely for the care and maintenance of city cemeteries.
