Unlawful to tamper with official seal, utility service, etc

(a)

It shall be unlawful to remove or tamper with any seal, warning tag or lock placed on any article, appliance, vehicle, meter, tank, or building by the department of fire-rescue without first obtaining permission to do so from the authority having jurisdiction to remove same.

(b)

It shall be unlawful for any person to tamper with or change the position of any utility valve, switch, wiring, piping meter or connection, or alter any utility service in any way unless approval is granted by a duly authorized person having jurisdiction to install said valve, switch, wiring, meter, connection or service or from the director of the department of fire-rescue, or duly authorized representative thereof.
