Police department

(a)

Created. There is hereby created and established a department to be known as the police department.

(b)

Office of professional compliance. The office of professional compliance shall function within the office of the chief of police. The director of the office of professional compliance shall be an unclassified, salaried civilian employee of the police department. The office of professional compliance shall perform all duties and functions as prescribed in article III of this chapter regarding complaints against police officers.
