Who Needs a License

Any person who performs electrical work in South Miami Heights must hold a valid Florida electrical contractor license unless exempt. Under Fla.   6. Apply to the State: Submit your application to the Construction Industry Licensing Board under Fla. Stat. § 489.107. The Board administers contractor licensing statewide.

  7. Pass the Exam: You must pass the Florida electrical contractor licensing examination covering trade knowledge and Florida construction law.

  8. Maintain Your License: Licenses require renewal and continuing education compliance per state regulations.
