Who Needs a License

How to Get Licensed

Steps to licensure:

1. Meet experience requirements: Fla. Stat. § 489.113 requires documented practical experience in the trade (typically 4 years of full-time work or equivalent).

2. Pass the state examination administered by the Construction Industry Licensing Board covering plumbing codes, safety practices, and business law.

3. Submit your application to the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR), which oversees the Construction Industry Licensing Board.

4. Pay applicable state licensing fees.

Once licensed, your Florida Certified Plumbing Contractor license is valid statewide, including in Holiday CDP.

Local Requirements

Holiday CDP is located in Pasco County, Florida. Permit applications and inspections for plumbing work in Holiday are handled through the Pasco County Building Department, as Holiday is an unincorporated census-designated place.
