Who Needs a License

In Florida, any person who offers to perform or performs professional engineering services must hold a license issued by the state. Professional engineering is defined in Fla. Stat. § 489.105 and includes services that require the application of engineering principles to public or private projects.

If you design structures, systems, or infrastructure; perform calculations or analyses for construction projects; or present yourself as an engineer in Seminole city, you need a state Professional Engineer (PE) license.
