Real Estate Licensing in Edgewater city, Florida

Who Needs a License

Any person who, for compensation, sells, exchanges, purchases, rents, or leases real property, or who negotiates, agrees to negotiate, or offers to negotiate such transactions on behalf of others must hold a Florida real estate license. This includes brokers, sales associates, and persons acting in a brokerage capacity.

Under Florida Statute § 489.105, "real estate broker" means any person who, for compensation or valuable consideration, sells, exchanges, purchases, rents, or leases any real property, or who offers or attempts to negotiate the sale, exchange, purchase, rental, or leasing of any real property. A "real estate sales associate" is a person licensed to represent a broker in transactions involving real property.
