Water Conditioning Licensing in Freeport city, Florida
Who Needs a License
Under Florida law, any person who engages in water conditioning work must be licensed. [Fla. Stat. § 489.105] defines water conditioning as the treatment or alteration of water quality for residential, commercial, or industrial use, including but not limited to softening, filtering, and chemical treatment systems.
If you install, repair, maintain, or contract to perform water conditioning work in Freeport, you must hold an active Florida Construction Industry License in the Water Conditioning category, or work under the supervision of a licensed contractor. [Fla. Stat. § 489.113]
How to Get Licensed

- Proof of four years of active experience in water conditioning work, or equivalent (documented work history or apprenticeship)

Step 3: Submit your application package to DBPR. The Board will review your experience documentation, process your application, and schedule your exam if you qualify.
